Super Melody

If Hugh Hefner had a Halloween
nightmare it would look like this. It's yucky. part rocky horror show, part year 9 science dissection and part penthouse mansion.
Super Melody is the nom-de-plume of James
Cecil, formerly of Architecture In Helsinki, and part of the
exceptional (and AIR Award Nominated) electronica act Qua. I met him at
an experimental gig in Newcastle, he'd spent the night before tearing it up
with Qua and was now chilling out watching one of the weirdest nights of
music you're likely to see. It was part of the This Is Not Art
Festival. The guy was a sweetheart but I wasn't aware that that beneath
his harmless exterior, there lurked the ability to write songs that would be wedged deep into my scull. Like a hatchet. Deep into the bit
that makes decisions about dancing and singing along.
