Vinyl

Ahhh yes, Vinyl, the saviour of the music industry, 30 years after it began a slide to certain extinction, the only way to guarantee that your music can't be digitally shared these days is to get a piece of wax, press some grooves into it and sell the resultant record as a special addition. Your fans will love it, you'll look pretty cool and no-one can share vinyl on a digital Peer 2 Peer network.

Vinyl is the ultimate digital rights management system. It's exclusive, it's special and it's very difficult to copy

A couple of months ago, Oh Mercy embarked on An Australian tour on the back of a limited addition 7 inch called Keith Street.

Keith Street is classic Oh Mercy. Subtle and timeless songwriting laid bare. 500 7 copies of this song sold out in a matter of days. You just couldn't own it any other way. A gift to fans of Oh Mercy. I loved it.

Until now, Oh Mercy are about to release an EP called Keith Street, it's a bit of a stop gap to whet your appetite for their second album which should be out next. So, check out the clip, pre-order the EP and come around to my house if you want to listen to the sound of it on a record player.
